Shinra Insider originally started as a message board called Spiran Memories which was ran by Justin, and Koby was one of the Co-Administrators. Spiran Memories eventually died, and well almost a year later was revived. Justin decided it was time for a new name so he held a competition for it. That’s when my brother, Koby, came up with the name Shinra Insider, and everyone liked it.

The Shinra Insider forums grew rapidly, and was doing great with over 500 members. However as time would have it, Justin had computer troubles and therefore Shinra Insider died once again. Later on down the road a couple months, one of the Super Moderators created a new Shinra Insider community known as Paradise Escape, but it just wasn’t the same and it died as quickly as it had began.

Because of this, Koby decided to revive Shinra Insider himself. He gathered all the old staff back, and the forum became active again, waiting for the rebirth of the forums. However eventually the project of reviving it just stopped. About a month afterward Koby purchased a license for a vBulletin forum, and so he emailed all the old Shinra Insider members letting them know of the new Forgotten Memories community, and that it could be the new home of Shinra Insider members.

Several more months down the road, I decided I wanted to get into web-design and run a site. The old website Koby had created for Shinra Insider was just setting there, and it was an awesome name so I asked him if I could take it over and he agreed.

Koby, then purchased the domain (shinrainsider.com) for me, and well with his help I began working on getting the site back up. And here we are today, your new insider source for Square Enix news!
