Square Enix Europe has officially released the remake of Final Fantasy III on the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DS remake was recently released in North American shelves for the first time last fall. Now, Europe gets to experience the remade features of Final Fantasy III on the Nintendo DS with revamped graphics, gameplay and a complete makeover from the old Final Fantasy III.

Square-Enix is about to release multiple new soundtrack compilations focusing on battle themes. The Square-Enix Battle Track Vol. 1: Square 1987 - 1996 album will include 25 tracks from Famicom, Super Famicom and GameBoy games composed by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy I-VI, Hanjuku Hero, Gun Hazard), Kenji Itou (SaGa series, Seiken Densetsu), Ryuuji Sasai (SaGa 3, Final Fantasy USA Mystic Quest, Rudra no Himitsu), Hiroki Kikuta (Seiken Densetsu 2-3), Youko Shimomura (Live-a-live, Front Mission), Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger), Noriko Matsueda (Bahamut Lagoon), and Masaharu Iwata (Treasure Hunter G).The Square Enix Battle Track Vol. 1: Square 1987 - 1996 album will go on sale in Japan on May 9th for 2,000 yen ($16.86 US).
