Square-Enix is about to release multiple new soundtrack compilations focusing on battle themes. The Square-Enix Battle Track Vol. 1: Square 1987 - 1996 album will include 25 tracks from Famicom, Super Famicom and GameBoy games composed by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy I-VI, Hanjuku Hero, Gun Hazard), Kenji Itou (SaGa series, Seiken Densetsu), Ryuuji Sasai (SaGa 3, Final Fantasy USA Mystic Quest, Rudra no Himitsu), Hiroki Kikuta (Seiken Densetsu 2-3), Youko Shimomura (Live-a-live, Front Mission), Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger), Noriko Matsueda (Bahamut Lagoon), and Masaharu Iwata (Treasure Hunter G).The Square Enix Battle Track Vol. 1: Square 1987 - 1996 album will go on sale in Japan on May 9th for 2,000 yen ($16.86 US).

The official Japanese website for Final Fantasy 6 Advance on the GBA opened today. The site includes character information for Tina “Terra” Bradford and Locke Cole, as well as story and battle information and some new screenshots.

The site also includes an option for a movie, but so far it’s not available so check back for details and future character additions.
